Financial Assistance

There are programs available to assist families with the financial cost of registration. You must apply and qualify for these financial assistance programs. All families must pay the difference between the value requested in the program and the total registration fee before you will be considered registered.

If you apply to more than one sponsor for your registration fee please note that Southwest can not accept funds for more than the total registration fee owing PER PARTICIPANT.

You can not use approved funds from one participant and apply it to another participant's fee in your family.

  • The Flames EvenStrength Program has had some improved changes effective the 2023-2024 season!
  • We encourage you complete the application process if  you are looking for assistance with the House League or Community League fees (link is below).
  • Apply EARLY so that we have every opportunity to assist you!

2023-2024 SEASON

Register EARLY so that you have full access to ALL financial assistance opportunities. If you are not sure about something please contact the Registrar as soon as possible and we would be happy to assist you.

All applications and registrations must be completed in FULL no later than August 8, 2023 or you are NOT considered fully registered.

Late fees will apply effective August 9, 2023

The "Flames Even Strength Program" application is a maximum of $700.00 per participant.

Option 1 – Pay the amount owing in full

  1. You are considered “fully registered” with Option 1.
  2. Be sure to complete Step 2 and fill out the online FESP application;
    • You will receive notification of your application status from the Hockey Calgary Registrar.
    • Your home Registrar will also receive a copy of this notification email.
  3. If approved, the Registrar will apply the refund to the account.

 Option 2 – Pay the deposit and choose the Payment Plan

  1. You are considered “fully registered” with Option 2.
  2. Be sure to complete Step 2 and fill out the online FESP application;
    • You will receive notification of your application status from the Hockey Calgary Registrar.
    • Your home Registrar will also receive a copy of this notification email.
  3. If you are on a payment plan then the credit will be applied to the account. The payment plan will be adjusted accordingly and any applicable refund will be issued.

Option 3 – Choose “Off-Line Payment” (no funds received)

  1. Choosing this option will leave your registration in a pending status.  It is important to follow up with the Registrar regarding a payment plan.
  2. Be sure to complete Step 2 and fill out the online FESP application;
    • You will receive notification of your application status from the Hockey Calgary Registrar.
    • Your home Registrar will also receive a copy of this notification email.
  3. The member is responsible for the minimum deposit or the balance owing, which ever is greater to finalize your registration.

 

Fill out the online FESP application managed by Hockey Calgary

  • When you complete the online form, you will receive an auto email from Hockey Calgary.
    • Be sure to check your 'junk mail' for the automated email.
  • Once you complete the application the SW Registrar will also receive an automated email.
  • It is the responsibility of the member to follow up with the Hockey Calgary Registrar regarding the status of your FESP application. The Hockey Calgary Registrar can be reached at pam.douglas@hockeycalgary.com. The Contact link is also at the top of the page.

FESP Credit

  • If you are approved you will receive an email response from the Hockey Calgary Registrar.
    • The SW Registrar will also receive a copy of this approval email.
  • The approved credit will be applied to your invoice after the approval has been received;
    • If your account is paid in full you will receive a credit back to the credit card on file.
    • If you are on a payment plan then it will be applied and the payments adjusted

It is the responsibility of the member to follow up with the Southwest Registrar regarding payment arrangements for the balance owing.
