FULL equipment is always mandatory.

It's important that participant's wear their equipment properly and ensure it is kept clean.



TEAM INFORMATION


JERSEY CARE (WASHING & DRYING)

Teams are financially responsible for all game jerseys. Proper care is required to avoid damage and replacement fees.


JERSEY PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Each team has Jersey Parents for managing and taking care of the Association Game Jerseys.

Name Bars & 3rd jerseys

Name bars are only permitted to be applied to SHA jerseys by the SHA-approved vendor: Cal-Crest Ltd

The same vendor is who must remove the name bars from the SHA jerseys.

3rd Jerseys - May be purchsed only through Southwest Hockey and are a team expense. No outsider suppliers are permitted.

COACH INFORMATION: EQUIPMENT/JERSEY PICK-UP & RETURN


START-OF-SEASON PICK-UP

Coachs are to pick up:
  • Game jerseys & socks (home/away where applicable).
  • Practice jerseys are optional and can be requested through our Director of Branding. These are available for U11 to U18 Community teams, up to 21 per team.
  • Goalie equipment (U9 is supplied. U11 has limited options. U13 to U18 supply their own.
  • First Aid Kit

Pick up dates will be communicated to coaches, which are typically handed out at the start of season SHA Mandatory Coach Meetings.


END-OF-SEASON RETURN

When the End-of-Season Return dates have been set, an email will be sent by the SHA Administrator.

All SHA‑issued items must be returned by the communicated deadline:

  • Game jerseys

  • Practice jerseys (as applicable)

  • Goalie equipment (if supplied)

  • First Aid Kit

Failure to return items or they are returned in poor condition may result in:

  • Replacement fees charged to the team

  • “Member Not in Good Standing” status

  • Hockey Canada account being blocked until resolved

If a team continues past the return date due to attending a tournament, the Head Coach must arrange an alternate drop‑off time.

  • Southwest Hockey colours: Navy, Red & Gold
  • Only SHA-sponsored crests permitted
  • No jersey alterations without permission
  • Captains/Assistants ('C' & 'A') as per policy
  • SHA Game Socks are provided
  • Only approved SHA Game Jerseys permitted in games
  • 3rd jerseys must be approved by SHA
  • Name bars only through approved vendor
  • Practice Jerseys (U11-U18) available on request
  • All distributed jerseys and equipment must be returned
  • Teams (except U7/U9) supply pucks and on-ice equipment
  • First Aid Kits are replenished by teams during the season and must be returned end of season.
  • U9 goalie gear supplied. U11 limited availability. U13 to U18 supply their own
  • Goalie gear requires signed responsibility form; deposits may apply
  • Off-season goalie gear loan requires approval and a $500 deposit
  • Missing/damaged items --> Replacement Fees
  • Unresolved fees --> Member Not in Good Standing
